Xandros rocks! I say this as I installed my free copy of Win4Lin onto my desktop. Yes, they are giving paid members a free (250 minute time limit per use) access to this wonderful software that I can honestly say runs perfectly. Since I don’t do much in Windows that requires more than 250 minutes in one sitting, I see little reason to upgrade right away.

As cool as my experiences with Win4Lin were, there are other fun events that I had the opportunity to enjoy as well. They include updates for Thunderbird. Firefox and Skype for Linux to boot! Man, today just feels like Christmas to me. I mean, I have Skype working perfectly with my USB headset, Win4Lin taking care of any Window’s needs that I had. Boy, today is a good day! Best of all, I did not have to compile diddly. Xandros Networks, baby!

Then to top things off, I spent the weekend trading in my Xbox for a PS2 with all of the fixin’s. Oh sure, the Xbox has amazing graphics, but the ‘fun’ stopped at Halo 2 for me. Other than that title, Xbox has no decent original titles in my opinion. Please understand that I was very happy with the console at first. But I was tired of no one ever wanting to play online with me as they were all on PS2 playing Killzone. Well, now that I have traded ‘up’ so to speak, I have never been happier. Free access to online gaming, copies of two of my favorite games, what else could a guy ask for.

For all of you out there that are as hooked to Killzone as I am, you will find me under the East Coast boards under the name ‘killthemall.’ To the untrained eye, this might appear to be ‘kill-them-all.’ This is incorrect. In actuality, my nick would translate to ‘kill-the-mall’. Ya, as you might guess there is some weird private joke involved. It also makes a cool play on words, too.

I must say this has been a strange month. But the fun is just getting started! Brandon and I have a ‘vocal appearance’ here soon that we think will surprise a great many of you. I have decided to keep it under wraps till it is time, but I am pretty sure that most of you will discover what I am referring to here very soon. Just keep those ears open and most importantly, keep participating in Changing Media. :o)
