HTML Validator

I will not lie to you, no matter how much hate mail I get for saying what I am about to say. I don’t often check to see if my Web sites are using “valid HTML”. Now that I have confessed my sin, I am ready to start validating like everybody else. The HTML Validator extension for Firefox is what is going to help me make the change.
Here is what the developers of the HTML Validator have to say.
HTML Validator is a Mozilla extension that adds HTML validation inside Firefox and Mozilla. The number of errors of a HTML page is seen on the form of an icon in the status bar when browsing.
The details of the errors are seen when looking the HTML source of the page.
The extension is based on Tidy. Tidy, was originally developed by the Web Consortium W3C. And now extended and improved by a lot of persons. Tidy is embedded inside Mozilla/Firefox and makes the validation locally on your machine, without sending HTML to a third party server.
By using the HTML Validator, checking all my Web pages to see if I am using valid HTML has become a lot easier. Some other resources are more than confusing, this makes the job simple.
This Firefox extension is for versions .8 and up of the browser. If you want to download it and try it out for yourself, you can do so at the Mozilla Update Web site.
